Summer ArtLab

ArtLab is an art-centric youth programme offered throughout two seasons of the year: summer and winter. It provides participants with a variety of interactions that foster creative, conceptual, and critical thinking; skill-focused learning through different art processes; and empowerment in expression through the arts and humanities.
Following the story of the Tower of Babel, participants go on a journey to discover different modes of communication through history. Using art as the Lingua Franca, they interpret ancient languages, decipher symbolism, and engage in various art centered activities that enable them to develop shared understanding and connections with segments of history and one another. This ArtLab season is inspired by the notion of tolerance and coexistence that existed in old Babylon embodied through collaborative exercises and practices.
